I appreciated Kevin’s patience as I did not know for sure what I wanted and Katie’s guidance and creativity in finding a design that works better than anything I had hoped for. The crew was great, always on task but took time to answer my questions and kept me informed. Katie often went out of her way make sure things were taken care of to my satisfaction. We waited many years before starting an addition to our home, making it a ‘forever home’ that would meet our needs as we age. Our experience with MRC was nothing short of ‘excellent’, from planning to construction to the finished product. We LOVE our new space! Their professionalism and quality of work went well beyond our expectations. We’ve received many compliments on our home and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend MRC to anyone looking to build/remodel. There’s a lot of good contractors out there, but MRC is a GREAT contractor, from the owners to the designers to the carpenters, including their subs. We absolutely love our new screened in deck and Kevin and his crew were awesome to work with. They walked us through the different steps each day, were very detail oriented, stayed right on budget and at the end of every day, they picked up all of the scraps of wood, nails, screws and equipment, which is really nice when you have small children. Living in the Iowa City area, I had a lot of choices to get my project done, but I’m so glad I chose McCreedy Ruth Construction and I’d definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

From the first time we sat down with Tim and Kolin to describe what we were looking for in our home, to all the drawings and changes we made Kolin do, they were always willing to listen to our needs and wants and made sure we got what we wanted.

They were always available and met whenever, wherever it was convenient for us. I also can’t say enough about the employees and contractors as they also portrayed what we were looking for, professionals who would listen to us and make suggestions but in the end it was our decision.

This company was wonderful to work with and we would recommend them to anyone looking to build their dream home. They are the best.

We could not be happier with our new office space. The suite started out as gravel floor with nothing but an empty shell at the end of March, 2017, and we needed to move in by May 31.

Initially, I was concerned that it wouldn’t be possible for the suite to be completed by then, but the McCreedy and Ruth team was very organized and stayed on schedule the entire time.

In fact, we even decided to add a few features along the way and those were also completed on time. Kevin and his crew were easy to work with, trustworthy, and meticulous about their work.

The team helped us choose durable materials that were within our budget and gave us the look we wanted. Their attention to detail was also impressive.

For example, they transformed an old door to match our new doors so perfectly that no one could tell the difference. Thanks for making what seemed like an overwhelming task a great experience.

Both our staff and our clients are thoroughly enjoying this new space!

We just built a home with McCreedy Ruth Construction and I was amazed at how much I would grow to love the people and the company through this project.

I could write pages, but I’ll try and stick to just a few of the many highlights. Everything was built to last and Kevin would always answer my questions with patience and respect.

When my initial dream house plan came in above budget, they worked with me to alter our plan to make it affordable for us, while keeping key items that were on my wish list.

Kevin and his entire team were phenomenal. Richard took our dreams and with expertise created beautiful trim work from scratch. Everyone on their team was professional and kind, even to our children.

Mary Ruth handled all the quotes and kept me updated in detail of the progress and was always quick and courteous when I had questions or made changes.

We are thrilled with our home and would, and do, recommend anyone use them to build their home or other construction project. They are people of integrity that care about their work and their customers. What a blessing to work with and additional friends for life.

Just a note to let you know how much we appreciate your work on our screened porch (and patience with making up our minds on what we wanted). We are totally pleased with the results. Chris and Cullen — what can we say except talented, knowledgeable, and professional. We are enjoying the porch and have recommended McCreedy-Ruth to many of our friends.
